Kevin Costner is in puppy love.
The “Yellowstone” star took to Instagram Thursday to show off his new dog as things heat up between his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner and their former neighbor Josh Connor.
“Newest addition to the family. I’m already in love with this special guy,” he captioned his post, which included several photos of the adorable pup.
The cover photo of the carousel showed Costner, 69, looking adoringly at his little guy as he leaned on his truck.
A second image showed the star cuddling his puppy while the final pic in the slideshow was a solo shot of the dog lying on the ground.
He also added a photo to his Instagram Story that showed him holding the pooch in front of a stunning sunset.
Costner adopted his new canine companion weeks after it was reported that his ex-wife was romancing their former neighbor.
“Kevin had strong suspicions that something was going on between Christine and Josh,” a person close to the actor told Us Weekly on Jan. 24.
“Their close [bond] was a real elephant in the room.”
“Christine doesn’t think Kevin has anything to complain about,” the insider added.
“Josh has been Christine’s rock throughout the divorce ordeal. If Kevin has a problem with that, that’s on him.”
Baumgartner, 49, filed for divorce in May 2023 after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The pair went on to have a contentious court battle over child support and their prenuptial agreement, with Baumgartner accusing her ex of misrepresenting his finances.
After being awarded $129,000 in monthly child support, she filed to raise the amount, arguing that it costs much more to raise their children because the luxe life “is in their DNA at this point.”
The former couple shares sons Cayden,16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 13.
The pair confirmed to Pvnew in September 2023 that they came to “an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”
While the specifics are not known, TMZ reported at the time that the “Field of Dreams” star agreed to pay his ex more than their original prenup ordered.
Since then, he has seemingly moved on with singer Jewel.
The pair was spotted mingling during a fundraising trip to the British Virgin Islands in November 2023 for Jewel’s Inspiring Children Foundation.
The following month, TMZ obtained photos of Costner with his arms wrapped around the Grammy winner’s waist.
“You could tell they were trying to be discreet, but anybody who saw them could tell something was going on,” an eyewitness from their week-long trip together told the outlet.
“They were flirty, and when they were together, it was like they both just lit up,” another person claimed.
