Kim Cattrall made her highly anticipated return to “And Just Like That” in her signature Samantha Jones style wearing her customary crimson for the Season 2 finale Thursday.
Samantha made a quick cameo in a sizzling bright red outfit with a metallic trench coat on top and a lime green purse, along with her signature chunky silver bangle bracelets.
The same outfit would have looked just as fitting on the PR maven in the 2000s, proving that the London-based Jones hasn’t changed much.
For her triumphant return to the small screen, Cattrall was dressed by Patricia Field, the celebrity stylist behind the iconic looks on the original “Sex and the City.”
While Field took a break from the reboot to focus on dressing the “Emily in Paris” and “Glamorous” characters, Kim brought the legendary costume designer back for the brief phone call she made in the back of a taxi to Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) at the beginning of the episode.
Samantha’s style has remained iconic for decades after the original show aired, with Gen Z embracing her sexy, power dressing style on TikTok.
Said fans were ecstatic to see the return of their favorite single Manhattanite, commenting on TikTok, “Kim is the only one who didn’t age,” and calling her a “goddess.” Another TikTokker asked, “how does she look EXACTLY THE SAME OMG?”
Not everyone approved of the fit, as one commenter questioned, “Patricia Fields came back to style Samantha for what?” and another called her look “Stylish but underwhelming,” before pointing out, “The bag is fab, though!”
In May, The Post revealed Samantha would return to the spinoff, which has recently been renewed for a third season.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like everyone’s favorite publicist will be making an appearance on the Max show. Cattral, 67, said the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment in the cab is “as far” as she’ll go.
“It felt like dipping my toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon,” Cattrall said about the appearance.
Much like the Cosmo, Samantha’s style will always be a classic.
