She’s weighing in.
Heidi Klum blasted “crap” reports that she only eats 900 calories a day to maintain her 138-pound frame.
“I just got home, and some friends are sending me these articles that have been written that I only take in 900 calories,” she began in a video shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday night.
“One, I want to say, I don’t think I’ve ever had to count my calories in my life, and don’t believe everything that you read.”
The “America’s Got Talent” judge then doubled down, stating curtly, “So, I don’t count my calories.”
Klum, 50, also defended herself for showing how much she weighs during a recent Instagram Q&A that garnered backlash from her followers.
“Someone asked me how much I weigh, and I got on the scale and showed how much I weighed,” she explained.
“I don’t know. People just put things together and just write a bunch of crap, and it’s really sad because there really is no real journalism anymore.”
The “Project Runway” alum went on to slam people who “make up stories” that can be harmful to others.
“One person writes it, and then everyone jumps on it, and it’s really sad because, you know, people read that and they think that and possibly follow that, and that’s not good,” she said.
The Daily Mail reported that the German-American supermodel had turned to a shockingly low-calorie diet after she shared her meal routine during a since-expired Q&A Sunday.
Klum reportedly told fans that she starts her morning off with a breakfast consisting of three poached eggs in warm chicken broth.
Another follower then asked Klum how much she weighed, so the “Making the Cut” star replied by filming herself stepping on a scale, which teetered back and forth between 137 and 139 pounds.
According to the National Heart, Blood and Lung Institute, Klum’s body mass index (BMI) is within the normal range given her 5-foot-9-inch height. But critics blasted her reportedly limited diet because medical experts recommend that women have a daily intake of 2,000 calories.
Klum was clearly taken aback by the sensationalized articles and posted several screenshots before stating her denial for her fans.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel has divulged her dieting practices in the past.
In 2008, she admitted to eating small meals every three hours, never eating after 8 p.m. and having an apple whenever she felt hungry for a snack.
But over the years, Klum’s restrictions have loosened, and she has been less strict with her meal plan while still enjoying healthy dishes.
“In the beginning, I had to [be disciplined about food] and now I’m just so used to it,” she told Red Magazine in 2020. “There are so many choices, just pick the right things. Because then you don’t have the struggle.”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit veteran often flaunts her fit physique on social media, sharing bikini snaps and sometimes even photos in the buff to her Instagram page.
And just this month, she posed in a sexy one-piece while holding bowls of fruit to encourage healthy snacking habits.
“Make sure to eat your fruits and …..
