Morgan Wade insists she and Kyle Richards are just “friends” despite their steamy “Fall in Love With Me” music video.
The country singer brushed off the rampant dating rumors that the duo have been facing — and fueling — since the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star split from her husband, Mauricio Umansky.
“The internet’s a dumb place,” Wade told People Wednesday.
The songwriter, 28, went on to gush about their “great friendship,” calling Richards, 54, a “good person.”
She explained, “She’s extremely smart when it comes to business and how to mentally ignore s–t. … She’s been such a great person to have in my corner to help me navigate stuff.”
Wade and Richards have previously denied that they are in a relationship, with the Bravolebrity telling a paparazzo in July that they are “very good friends.”
While promoting their music video earlier this month, however, Richards admitted she wanted to give the gossip mill “something to talk about.”
Wade agreed, adding, “You see people being obsessed with us being friends and why we’re friends, but we thought it would be a good idea kind of to … troll the trolls a little bit.”
She predicted that social media would “be popping off about” it.
When the video was released the following week, Umansky, 53, left a surprising comment on the upload with multiple fire emojis.
He and Richards have put on a united front since news broke of their separation in July, from playful online interactions to a joint family vacation in Italy.
The estranged couple tied the knot in January 1996.
They share three daughters together: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.
While Season 13 of “RHOBH” had finished filming by the time their breakup made headlines, cameras picked back up last month to capture the fallout.
