She’s flipping the bird to someone.
Angelina Jolie’s tattoo artist revealed that the actress got a mystery tattoo on both of her middle fingers — and fans are having a field day in the comment section, guessing at what it could say.
Mr. K, who works at the celebrity-loved Bang Bang shop in New York City, shared a snap on Instagram Tuesday of Jolie’s fingers with the fresh ink totally blurred out to keep her new design hidden.
Mr. K tagged the “Maleficent” star and wrote, “Still can’t believe that I actually grabbed her hand and tattooed her,” before asking his followers to “Guess what she got on her palm?”
The guesses started coming in hot, with “F—k. Brad.” as the most popular option.
Commenters are of course referencing her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, whom Jolie dated from 2005 until their long-awaited wedding in 2014. The couple divorced, however, in 2016 and have been embroiled in an ongoing, contentious legal battle regarding their children and shared winery.
Other guesses as to what the tatted star’s new ink could be include tributes to her kids, a “warning label for prospective suitors,” or “something spiritual.”
Mr. K is also the tattoo artist behind Doja Cat’s controversial backpiece, which fans have called “demonic.” Miley Cyrus, Michael J. Fox, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are all fans of the buzzy downtown tattoo studio.
“I’d never wash my hands again,” one follower quipped about being in proximity to Jolie, while another thirstily wrote, “Lemme lick those gloves.”
A third marveled, “Even her hands are gorgeous.”
This is far from Angie’s first ink, as the 48-year-old philanthropist has many meaningful pieces that honor her charitable endeavors and six children, including her elaborate backpiece.
She also has multiple other designs dedicated to ex-lovers, including once famously paying tribute to her previous husband, Billy-Bob Thorton. She later vowed never to get another man’s name inked on her body after she had the words removed from her arm in the wake of their divorce.
However, Angie didn’t exactly keep her promise as she and Pitt got matching ink — coordinating Buddhist designs drawn from the same ink to symbolize their forever bond — just before their 2016 split.
As for the “Fight Club” actor, he has an “A” inked along with the initials of their children on his forearm, Angie’s birthday inked on his lower abdomen in Khmer — which he may have had lasered off — and doodles from his ex wife’s imagination, among his own numerous tattoos.
They also both have a quote by poet Rumi that (ironically) reads, “There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there.”
Perhaps this latest ink is just as meaningful … or maybe it’s a dig at her ex.
