Ariana Madix made her Broadway debut Monday night.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star took the stage as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” as her co-stars Lala Kent and Scheana Shay sat in the audience at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City.
Madix’s boyfriend, Daniel Wai, was also in attendance and sat by the reality star’s mom, Tanya Karr Madix.
After completing her first show, Madix took a bow while flashing a huge smile during curtain call.
The crowd stood up from their seats and roared with applause, according to videos shared on social media.
Madix, 38, wore her character’s signature black tights and long-sleeve sheer shirt under a black slip dress as she received several bouquets of roses.
At one point, she took in the cheers while standing next to her co-star Amra-Faye Wright, who plays Velma Kelly in the long-running musical.
Shay, 38, posted one Instagram Story video that showed Madix holding one of her bouquets while giving a soft smile and taking some photos backstage.
“@arianamadix absolutely crushed it!!!” Shay captioned the post.
Kent, 33, also showed her support by sharing a photo of herself holding Madix’s “Chicago” Playbill and a rose.
The three friends posed for several pictures together after the show.
Just hours before Madix got onstage, she shared several snaps of herself preparing for her role over the last few weeks and thanked all those who helped her get ready for her eight-week takeover.
“when the reality is even better than the dream,” she wrote Monday, adding, “this journey has been nothing short of amazing and im so grateful to be here today with all of you.”
The Bravolebrity rose to fame starring on “Vanderpump Rules” and was thrust into the public spotlight even more when her now-ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval’s affair with her then-friend Raquel Leviss was exposed in March 2023.
However, Madix has been passionate about singing and performing much longer than being a reality TV star, as she studied musical theater at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., and later moved to the Big Apple in hopes of pursuing a career.
She eventually packed up and tried to get her start in Los Angeles, where she began her journey on the Bravo reality show and continues to call home.
Prior to her debut, Madix told Pvnew how “excited” she was to star in “Chicago” because she has “wanted to be on Broadway [her] entire life.”
“[I was a] theater kid, theater major, everything has always been leading up to this,” she told us earlier this month.
“It’s so iconic. I’m hoping that I can fill those shoes, and I just hope that when people look at the list of the names that I really stepped into it.”
