David Beckham still has to remind wife Victoria Beckham to “be honest.”
The Spice Girls member, 49, and the soccer star, 48, recreated the now-viral moment David caught Victoria in a lie about her posh upbringing during a teaser for their upcoming Super Bowl commercial with Uber Eats.
In the 30-second clip, the “Wannabe” singer teased that she and David are going to be in “a little commercial” — prompting the former Manchester United player to peer his head around the corner, telling her to “be honest.”
When Victoria, aka Posh Spice, clarified that it is actually a “big commercial,” David then instructed her to “tell them what it’s during.”
“Okay it’s during the big baseball game,” she replied, to which he added, “super big baseball game.”
“Or is it the hockey bowl?” the singer questioned, garnering a sarcastic response from her husband, who told her to “tell them about Jessica Aniston.”
“Jessica Aniston is going to be in it too,” she teased, purposefully forgetting major details like she did about her childhood vehicle.
Finally satisfied, David thanked his wife of nearly 25 years before ducking away, shouting, “we love Jessica!”
To top things off, Victoria was also wearing a shirt that read: “My Dad Had a Rolls-Royce” — which she teased towards the end of last year.
The back-and-fourth conversation was a play off the pair’s now-famous moment from their Netflix docuseries,“Beckham,” when Victoria claimed she came from a “working-class” family.
“We both come from families that work very hard,” the fashion designer said during a solo interview. “We’re very working-class.”
However, upon hearing the confession, David peeked his head into the door and told his wife of 24 years to “be honest” about her home life.
Although Victoria insisted that she was being honest, the former athlete then asked her what type of car her dad drove her to school in as a kid.
“It depends,” Victoria coyly replied, as David cut her off saying, “No, no, no.”
“OK, in the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce,” Victoria gave in as David left saying, “Thank you.”
The clip quickly made it’s rounds on social media, with many fans praising the soccer star for calling out the fashion designer, whose father founded an electronics wholesale business.
David also kicked off the start of 2024 by poking fun at his wife’s supposed “working class” roots after the couple joined Victoria’s parents for “a nice casual New Year’s Eve lunch at The Ritz.”
