Meghan Markle has been spotted without her pricey engagement ring from Prince Harry — but the reason behind the missing rock has nothing to do with her marriage.
While the Duchess of Sussex was seen enjoying lunch with her friends Kadi Lee and Cleo Wade, her gorgeous three-stone ring was noticeably replaced with a gold band on that finger.
While the missing jewelry has sparked speculation about her marriage, a source tells Pvnew that Markle’s sparkler is simply “being fixed.”
Harry, 38, gave his then-fiancée a pricey engagement ring when he proposed in November 2017.
The custom design featured one diamond originally from Botswana — a country they had visited together early in their courtship — and two smaller stones from his late mother Princess Diana’s collection.
“The ring is yellow gold, because that’s [her] favorite, and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure that she’s with us on this — on this crazy journey together,” the Duke of Sussex told the BBC during a post-engagement interview.

Harry explained that he created the ring with the help of jewelers Cleave and Company.
Markle, 42, called the rock “incredible,” explaining: “Everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness and the inclusion of [Princess Diana’s stones] and obviously not being able to meet his mom, it’s so important to me to know that she’s a part of this with us.”
Over the years, the “Suits” alum has had the ring altered.
Fans noted that the sparkler’s original yellow gold band was swapped with a thinner pavé setting after the birth of their first child, son Prince Archie, now 4.
The couple, who also share daughter Princess Lilibet, 2, have recently been plagued by gossip that their marriage is faltering and they were taking time apart.
However, an insider close to the couple — who wed in May 2018 — assured Pvnew that any speculation of a breakup is false.
“It’s not true. It’s literally made up,” the insider told us last month.
Additionally, the US-based royals have been spending time apart for work.
Harry jetted to Japan to speak at a summit organized by the International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) and he also played a polo match in Singapore to raise funds for the Sentebale charity, which he co-founded in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.
Meanwhile, Markle seems to be enjoying her girl time, recently taking in a Taylor Swift concert with pal Lucy Fraser in Los Angeles last week.
