Pink showed her love for Britney Spears amid the “Toxic” singer’s divorce from Sam Asghari.
During a stop in Detroit, Mich., Wednesday during her Summer Carnival tour, Pink subtly changed the lyrics to her 2001 hit “Don’t Let Me Get Me” which name-drops Spears.
Instead of singing, “Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears,” she sang, “sweet Britney Spears,” per a video shared to Instagram.
The “Try” songstress, whose birth name is Alecia Beth Moore, was met with cheers from fans, while several others expressed their support in the comment section.
“Aww that’s the kind of support she needs ❤️❤️❤️,” one person wrote.
“So awesome, love Pink even more for doing that!!” another chimed in.
Pvnew confirmed Wednesday that Spears, 41, and Asghari, 29, were getting divorced after one year of marriage amid allegations of cheating.
Sources told TMZ Thursday that Asghari claimed Spears “hooked up with at least one of the male staff members” at her home.
Asghari allegedly learned about the infidelity when he discovered footage of the pop star and the staffer “together in a compromising position.”
The former personal trainer further claimed that Spears asked another one of her employees to shoot a video of her naked.
According to the outlet, the hitmaker is “in a fragile and hyper-sexualized state,” which has led to her “dangerous decision-making … making her a risk to her own safety.”
In addition to the cheating allegations, Asghari has reportedly also accused his estranged wife of violently attacking him in his sleep, leaving him with a black eye.
Asghari has since broken his silence on the split.
“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote via his Instagram Story Thursday. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.”
The statement came a day after he filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The estranged couple tied the knot in June 2022 at Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
The “Gimme More” songstress was previously married to Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004.
She then wed Kevin Federline later that year. The exes welcomed two sons before calling it quits in 2007.
