Sofía Vergara was not happy when Kelly Clarkson downplayed her “Griselda” makeup transformation.
While interviewing the actress about her new Netflix miniseries Wednesday, the host of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” opined, “I feel like they only changed your nose or something” to play Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco.
Vergara appeared visibly shocked as she asked whether Clarkson was “crazy.”
But the “Stronger” singer doubled down on her comments, saying, “It looks slight. You know what I’m saying? Like, when you look at you, it doesn’t look …” before the “Modern Family” alum cut her off.
“No, Kelly, it was hours,” Vergara said of the time she spent in the makeup chair.
Still, Clarkson continued to dig in, saying that it “probably took time,” but that a “slight change completely changed [her] being.”
The “America’s Got Talent” judge then began to raise her voice, shouting, “It was a wig! Shut up!”
“It was a lot. They did a lot to me. It was teeth, it was wig, it was nose,” she continued, adding, “It was plastic from here to here.”
Finally, the “Because of You” singer began to backtrack and change her tune.
“They did such a good job that it looks seamless,” she explained. “You just look like a different — like, you literally look like you could actually just be this person in another movie. You could have two careers.”
She continued, “You literally look like you’re a different actress, like, playing the role. You could have a whole different life.”
Vergara was much more pleased with Clarkson’s new explanation, telling the TV host, “That’s exactly what I wanted — that reaction.”
“She looks real, right? I know,” the “Hot Pursuit” star added of the impressive prosthetics.
Vergara seems to be making a habit of calling out interviewers when they have offended her, as she roasted a journalist who mocked her accent earlier this month.
The Colombia native had appeared on the Spanish talk show “El Hormiguero” when the host, Pablo Motos, poked fun at the way she pronounced the name of her former sitcom, “Modern Family.”
Vergara fired back at Motos, asking him, “How many Emmy nominations do you have in the United States? How many times did they nominate you at the Golden Globes?”
“Griselda” is streaming on Netflix.
