Sofía Vergara doesn’t want her next partner to be under the age of 50.
“They can’t be younger than 50. I’m 51,” the “Modern Family” star said on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” Wednesday.
Vergara quickly clarified, however, that it would be “OK” if a guy was 49.
Andy Cohen appeared shocked by the actress’ vow and asked, “Really?! That’s your rule?”
“Yeah, I’m intelligent,” she replied while laughing.
Vergara made the comment after fellow “WWHL” guest Alexia Nepola of “The Real Housewives of Miami” suggested that she date Bad Bunny after they flirted in October 2023.
“Let’s not go crazy,” the “Griselda” star responded. “He’s younger than my son, Manolo. Manolo is 32.”
Vergara recently revealed that she split from her husband, Joe Manganiello, over their four-year age gap.
“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids, and I didn’t want to be an old mom,” she told El País in January.
The “America’s Got Talent” judge explained that being an older mom is “not fair to the baby,” though she clarified that she respects women who do choose to go down that path.
“I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother,” she added, referring to Manolo, whom she shares with her first husband, Joe Gonzalez.
Vergara also shared that she is still looking for a romantic partner, but she hopes he already has children.
Pvnew broke the news in July 2023 that Vergara and Manganiello, 47, were divorcing after seven years of marriage.
Just three months later, Vergara was photographed going on a date with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.
Meanwhile, Manganiello has also moved on and made his red carpet debut with girlfriend Caitlin O’Connor, 33, in December 2023.
A source previously told us that the “Magic Mike” star always wanted to have children of his own.
