Even “writer girl” makes mistakes.
Carole Radziwill is owning up to the typo in her viral diss of Bethenny Frankel, but points out to Pvnew exclusively via her rep that “spelling is not a sign of intelligence.”
Despite being called out for the flub, Radziwill’s spokesperson adds that the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum “definitely sees the humor in the mishap.”
“She’s enabled autocorrect on her phone,” the rep further explains before addressing the New York Times bestselling author’s original remark that Frankel is “not very intelligent.”
“As for Beth’s intelligence, we know she’s smart because she constantly tells us how smart she is and yet all we see is rantings about brands, marketing and ‘Housewives,'” Radziwill’s spokesperson tells us.
“We all tire of it. But unfortunately in this country, people equate the accumulation of money with intelligence, and as we have seen recently, in our political discourse, that is not always the case.”
Pvnew has reached out to Frankel’s rep for a response, but did not immediately hear back. However, they declined to comment on the diss earlier Wednesday.
Radziwill, 59, called out Frankel, 52, via Instagram Monday after a “Housewives” fan account posted about the Skinnygirl founder’s ongoing battle against Bravo and NBCUniversal over the alleged unfair treatment and inadequate pay of reality stars.
“Bethenny is smart, no question about it. But would she be who she is without Bravo? I don’t think so,” the account captioned a photo of Frankel at the time.
“This whole thing is an interesting move and I’ll be interested to see how it shakes out.”
Radziwill then gave her two cents in the comments, writing, “Shrewed [sic] perhaps but she’s actually not very intelligent.” Users then pointed out that the former ABC journalist misspelled the word “shrewd.”
“You can’t spell shrewd wrong and call someone not intelligent
