Britney Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, have separated.
Pvnew can confirm that the estranged couple called it quits in August 2023 after one year of marriage.
The news comes after Asghari accused Spears of cheating on him during a “nuclear argument,” per TMZ.
“It’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce,” a source told the outlet, adding that Asghari has moved out of Spears’ mansion in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
The pair have not publicly responded to the infidelity allegations.
Prior to their split, the “Toxic” singer and the actor had been head over heels for each other since meeting on the set of one of her music videos in October 2016.
They got engaged in September 2021 and tied the knot in June 2022.

Meet-cute
The pop princess met the personal trainer in October 2016 when he played her love interest in the music video for her song “Slumber Party” off her album “Glory.”
Months later, Spears called Asghari to ask him out on a date. She made their romance Instagram-official in January 2017.
Movie night
The “Hold Me Closer” songstress and the fitness model made their red carpet debut as a couple in July 2019 at the “once Upon a Time in Hollywood” premiere.
The proposal
Pvnew broke the news in September 2021 that Asghari had popped the question to Spears at her mansion with a 4-carat ring featuring his nickname for her, “Lioness,” engraved inside the band.
“The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them,” his manager, Brandon Cohen, told us.
Baby one more time
The Grammy winner casually announced on Instagram in April 2022 that she was pregnant with her and her then-fiancé’s first child together.
After her post sparked confusion among fans, Asghari confirmed the news, writing on his account, “Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don’t take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do.”
Spears shares two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, to whom she was married from October 2004 to July 2007.
Devastating loss
The betrothed couple revealed with “deepest sadness” in May 2022 that Spears had suffered a miscarriage with their “miracle baby.”
“Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along,” they admitted in a joint statement on Instagram. “However we were overly excited to share the good news.”
They do
Spears and Asghari, who signed a prenuptial agreement, married in June 2022 in a fairy-tale ceremony at her home.
The star-studded guest list included Madonna, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez and Donatella Versace, the latter of whom designed the bride’s gown.
The “Work Bitch” singer’s family members did not attend the wedding after becoming estranged over her 13-year conservatorship, which a judge terminated in November 2021.
It’s over
The May 2023 TV special “Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom” claimed Spears and Asghari had a “volatile” marriage that was “on the rocks.”
The “Black Monday” star later called the “TMZ Investigates” episode “absolutely disgusting,” urging his Instagram followers not to “believe what you read online.”
However, Pvnew confirmed in August 2023 that the pair were headed for divorce, with sources claiming to TMZ that Asghari had recently “confronted” Spears “over rumors she stepped out on him.”
