Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann may be back together, but their money issues are reportedly still a point of contention in their marriage.
The “Don’t Be Tardy” alums, who called off their divorce in early July, have “steep financial troubles” that are threatening to tear them apart for good, sources told TMZ Tuesday.
The outlet described the couple’s relationship as somewhat of a roller coaster, with Zolciak and Biermann being good one day and then “at each other’s throats” and having “blowups” the next.
However, the insiders pointed out that the reality stars are reportedly not ready to give up on their marriage just yet and are doing everything they can to stay together.
Zolciak’s rep did not immediately return Pvnew’s request for comment.
The former Bravolebrities’ money woes are no secret.
In May, TMZ obtained legal documents that showed Zolciak, 45, and Biermann, 37, allegedly owed the IRS more than $1 million.
Their Georgia mansion also entered into foreclosure earlier this year because the pair reportedly defaulted on a $1.65 million loan they took out for the home in 2016.
However, they were able to work out a deal, and an auction for the lavish home was canceled.
The couple then raced to the courthouse to file for divorce from each other, submitting their paperwork within days of each other.
While many insiders speculated at the time that financial issues had led to the split, a source previously told Pvnew that it “played a factor” but was not the only major problem in the marriage.
Biermann was then sued in June for skipping out on car payments for his Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which is worth about $400,100.
The former NFL star owed $221,763.57 by the end of the lease term, according to documents previously obtained by Pvnew.
His attorney, Marlys Bergstrom, blamed Zolciak for Biermann’s money issues at the time, saying, “Kroy retired and no longer receives that NFL salary. … I don’t think anyone told Kim.”
She then alleged, “Kim continues to spend money on online gambling, wine and things that are not necessities but luxuries. Well, now they have one less luxury item.”
Aside from the attorney’s claims, Zolciak has been accused on other occasions of having a gambling problem, which she has repeatedly denied.
Biermann claimed in court papers that the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum’s alleged addiction had left their family “financially devastated.
The father of six requested at the time that Zolciak undergo a psychological evaluation for her alleged “compulsions” due to her “spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance.”
He also claimed in police bodycam footage released in July that his wife had gambled away $1.5 million “illegally” online.
Zolciak’s eldest daughter, Brielle Biermann, also once tweeted that her mom allegedly had her wait in a car until 3 a.m. while she gambled at a casino in North Carolina.
In June, Target sued the “Tardy for the Party” singer for $2,482.24 in unpaid credit card fees.
Despite the turmoil, Zolciak and Kroy decided to reconcile, with a source telling Pvnew exclusively at the time that they had “been talking more lately and getting along, so she decided to call it off.”
However, friends reportedly don’t have faith that the couple will make it in the long run.
A source told Us Weekly in July, “They are still living together, but every day is an uphill battle.”
