Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker was caught outside her New York City apartment on Monday, just two days after being arrested while trying to break into her home.
A spokesperson for the New York Police Department tells Pvnew that an arrest was made after members of the community indicated there was a person of concern — whose identity has yet to be revealed — in the area.
However, it seems like his initial arrest on Saturday wasn’t enough to scare him off as an eyewitness tells us that he was seen back at Swift’s residence just a few hours after he was apprehended.
By Monday, the alleged stalker was seen hanging around her place — yet again — at around 3 p.m. local time. However, police did not take him into custody until 6 p.m.
A second eyewitness tells us that Swift’s security team allegedly asked police to arrest him away from the building.
“They went after him on Hudson by Bubby’s,” the second source tells us. “He resisted and they had to tackle him.”
NYPD tells us that charges are still pending. TMZ was the first to report the news.
Pvnew has reached out to Swift’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
On Saturday, officers received a call about a “disorderly person” near Swift’s home and “upon arrival were informed that the individual attempted to open a door to a building at the location.”
Despite police not confirming the break-in, a separate source told us they witnessed the suspect attempting to enter her place.
“I first saw him around 1 p.m. — he went up to Taylor’s door,” the eyewitnesse said. “I’m not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell.”
The source also told us that the individual was scouring the neighborhood “for a few weeks,” while another insider told us they saw the man “lurking here for a month.”
Per the second source, he had been “sleeping on the stoop, chain-smoking constantly, shouting, and generally making everyone uncomfortable.”
“When he arrived before Christmas, my husband asked what he was doing here and he said, ‘I want to see Taylor,’” the neighbor claimed. “He even had flowers at one point.”
The insider further told us that despite police being called “many times,” officers did not do anything until the man tried to get into the building.
Police told us the suspect had been taken into custody because there was an active warrant out for his arrest. NYPD confirmed on Monday that he had initially been arrested for failure to answer a summons in 2015.
Amid the stressful situation, Swift had actually spent her Sunday in Orchard Park, N.Y., cheering on her boyfriend, Kansas City Cheifs tight end Travis Kelce.
During the game, it was his brother, Jason Kelce, who stole the show by ripping off his shirt to celebrate during their victory over the Buffalo Bills.
