And that’s how he got married.
“How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor married Jordana Jacobs during a blizzard at Cedar Lakes Estate in Hudson Valley, N.Y. on Jan. 6.
He revealed the exciting news Friday by sharing a series of snapshots from his beautiful day on Instagram with the caption, “I got married! Two weeks ago. In a *light* blizzard.”
“It was an incredible overwhelming snowy bliss-filled weekend,” he added.
The actor also made sure to thank the 164 guests who braved the the 22-degree air (via the New York Times) to watch him marry the love of his life.
He also gushed over those who made his wedding happen, including the Cedar Lakes Estate, his photo crew from Forged in the North, and Sam Spector for dressing him.
Lastly, he sent a sweet message to Jacobs.
“I can’t believe my great good fortune that I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife,” he gushed.
The first photo Radnor shared showed him and his bride kissing at the altar as snow fell around them. She looked like a princess in an A-line gown while he looked handsome in a dark brown suit.
Additional snapshots showed the pair posing and locking lips around the estate’s charming grounds with a wintery backdrop.
Radnor, 49, met Jacobs, a clinical psychologist, at a meditation retreat in upstate New York in February 2022, per the Times.
During their meditation, before which they ingested psychedelic mushrooms, the “Hunter” actor heard a voice tell him, “That’s your woman.”
Jacobs had a similar experience.
The pair became inseparable after the weekend retreat.
“We were constantly in touch, sharing things we had written and things we had made,” Radnor told the Times for a profile on their wedding. “Thoughts, feelings, insights.”
He eventually relocated to Brooklyn from Los Angeles, where Jacobs’ practice and family are located, before he started filming Hulu’s “Fleishman Is in Trouble.”
At the premiere of the mini-series, he gave Pvnew an exclusive statement about his love life at the time.
“During the filming of this, I was very much newly with someone [who] I’m still with and continue to be very excited about,” he raved.
Radnor and Jacobs got engaged in 2023 after meditating at Joshua Tree, Calif.
During their wedding ceremony, Radnor teared up as he recited his vows to Jacobs.
“I look into the infinity of your green eyes, I know that my not having gotten married until now was not due to some brokenness in me,” he stated, per the Times.
“The truth is, I didn’t get married until now because I was waiting for you.”
