Shanna Moakler revealed Friday that her father, John W. Moakler III, has died.
“It’s with great sadness to share the passing of my dad, the only solace is knowing he is with my beautiful mother,” the former beauty queen wrote on Instagram.
“I am so thankful I got to have as many years with my parents as I did, and to have the time I had these last weeks with him,” she continued. “My father was an amazing husband, doctor and father he was more than anyone could ask for.”
Shanna — who also lost her mom, Gail Moakler, at age 7, in January — added that she received “unwavering support” from her parents even when she didn’t deserve it.
“I love you dad and my world will never be the same without you in it. I appreciate all those who have reached out and sent messages of support. Godspeed,” she concluded.
The reality TV alum, 47, posted a series of throwback photos featuring her and her father through the years. The last one in the tribute featured John and Gail when they were younger.
In January, the former model wrote a similar tribute for her mom after her death.
“This is the day I always feared, losing my best friend, support system and beautiful mom. I honestly can’t find the words to express how loving, kind and amazing she was,” Shanna wrote, furthering that she didn’t know how to do “this life without her.”
“How lucky I am to have been her daughter and to have had her for as long as I did. She was everything I hoped to be and I will miss her every second of everyday.”
“Please visit me in my dreams,” she concluded.
Before John’s untimely death, he suffered from a series of health issues stemming from a stroke he had in April 2021, leading him to recover in the intensive care unit.
“He has COVID on top of that, and doctors have told them he will never walk again,” an insider told People at the time.
The source furthered that the news left the former model “distraught.”
The “Celebrity Big Brother” alum often shared her family life on social media as recently as Father’s Day when she dubbed her dad as “amazing.”
“I love you @drjohnmoakler you are the most amazing man and father,” she wrote alongside a photo of them dancing. “How lucky I am to have you as a dad…
