Victoria Beckham and her daughter, Harper, abruptly left a Miami hotspot Friday night after a bloody brawl broke out between a man and security.
The unnamed diner claimed to the Daily Mail Tuesday that he was snapping a photograph while celebrating his daughter’s 21st birthday, but security thought he was trying to sneak a selfie with Messi, 36, and the soccer star’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, who were partying with the Beckhams at Gekko.
Photos of the victim show him with a bloodied and battered face.
“They jumped at us; they kicked me out and punched me in the face,” the man told the outlet.
“Just because my homeboy was trying to take a picture with his wife, not with Beckham or Messi, nothing. It was a family thing.”
However a rep for Gekko tells Pvnew exclusively that the patron was drunk and became “aggressive.”
“An intoxicated guest was overbearingly taking photos of fellow guests and was asked to stop. He continued taking photos and was calmly escorted off property,” the rep explained Tuesday morning.
“The guest then returned in an aggressive attempt to rush the door and re-enter the restaurant, to which he was prevented from entering.”
In footage of the chaotic aftermath, a woman can be heard screaming, “He’s a family man, celebrating his daughter’s 21st birthday.”
Another woman can be heard calling for employees to be fired for their behavior.
“How dare you! Where’s the manager? How f–king dare you! That’s f–king crazy!” she exclaimed. “Someone needs to get fired.”
As the drama continued to unfold outside the David Grutman- and Bad Bunny-owned Japanese-inspired steakhouse, the former Spice Girl, 49, can also be seen rushing Harper, 12, into a black SUV outside while flanked by security.
However, a source tells Pvnew exclusively that the victim was “heavily intoxicated” and asked to leave. Upon exiting the restaurant, he allegedly “bum-rushed” the door and that’s when security stepped in and became physical.
Reps for Beckham and Grutman didn’t immediately return Pvnew’s requests for comment.
The singer downplayed the drama on her Instagram, where she posted a series of photos from the “fun” night.
“I LOVE MIAMI!!! So much fun last night!! Kisses @davidbeckham @antonelaroccuzzo @leomessi xxxx,” she captioned the carousel.
Grutman, 49, also shared photos of himself partying and captioned his post, “Casual Friday @gekkomiami.”
The group, which also included David Beckham and soccer player Sergio Busquets, had been celebrating Inter Miami’s 4-0 victory over Charlotte FC in the Leagues Cup.
Security-related drama appears to follow the famed fashion designer, as Pvnew broke the news in 2019 that a man was thrown out of Victoria’s Reebok launch party at The Flower Shop after accusing the patron of being too drunk.
“The owners didn’t even care,” an insider told us of his removal. “The man was OK, but his clothes were destroyed.”
A separate source, however, insisted to us at the time that “no one was attacked.”
“One of the guests got drunk and was rude to staff, so they were asked to leave by security and escorted off the premises,” the source explained.
“David and Victoria were too busy smooching in the corner to notice the fracas. Then the gentleman walked back quietly and had a cigarette. He was no longer belligerent.”
