Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s eldest son, Kingston, is following in his parents’ musical footsteps.
The 17-year-old surprised patrons of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Oklahoma on Friday with a surprise solo performance.
In a TikTok video shared the following day, the teenager took the stage with a guitarist and keyboardist, chatting comfortably with the crowd before beginning to sing.
Kingston, who performed in a baggy Carhartt tee and jeans as the crowd cheered, hit impressive notes before wrapping up and thanking the audience.
“Love you guys, thank you for being here!” Kingston gushed. “Thank you, it means everything to me, really. I hope you guys had a great night. Enjoy yourselves!”
The teen subsequently got a hug from Shelton, 47, who had promoted the performance via Twitter days earlier.
“7:30pm this Friday I’m gonna set up and play 30 minutes or so acoustically. Then I’m gonna turn the stage over to a debut artist that will be doing their VERY FIRST public performance!” the country singer wrote Wednesday.
“See you at the @OleRed Tishomingo Doghouse!!!!” the Grammy nominee continued. “You never know who else may show up.”
TikTok users praised Kingston’s skills in congratulatory comments, with many calling him his “dad’s twin.”
One fan wrote, “Wow, his voice is such a mix of both his mom & dad’s voices. So much talent running through his veins.”
Rossdale, 57, and Stefani, 53, welcomed Kingston in 2006, four years after their wedding. The former couple also co-parent sons Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9, since splitting in 2015.
After the duo finalized their divorce in 2016, the No Doubt rocker married Shelton.
The “God’s Country” singer has opened up about his bond with his stepsons on multiple occasions, telling KFROG listeners in February 2021 that there is “nothing easy” about being a bonus parent.
However, he noted, “I have a blast with it, I’m not gonna lie. I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am. … I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”
