Angelina Jolie appeared to be in high spirits upon landing at JFK airport in New York City on Thursday.
The 48-year-old humanitarian and Oscar-winning actress pushed back her head while laughing, as she was spotted with her youngest daughter, 15-year-old Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
The “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” star wore a belted beige raincoat over a light gray top with matching slacks. She completed her look with shiny brown heels.
Vivienne, however, went for a more casual look for their jet-setting adventure, as she was seen rocking a blue top and black sweatpants with navy blue Converse sneakers.
The teen, whom Jolie shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt, 59, accessorized her look with a black mask and black bag.
This sighting comes after Pvnew revealed the mother-daughter duo are working on a Broadway musical together. While Jolie will produce, Vivienne has taken on the role as her mom’s assistant.
“Viv reminds me of my mother [Marcheline Bertrand] in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Jolie told us in a statement last month. “She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
The musical will be an adaptation of the 1983 film “The Outsiders,” which starred Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze and Rob Lowe.
The musical had its world premiere at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, Calif., earlier this year, and a source told us that Jolie and her daughter “both fell in love with the musical” when they saw it.
“Angelina and Vivienne subsequently met with S.E. Hinton, who was around Vivienne’s age when she wrote the novel,” the source said.
“As a result of seeing the show and the conversation with S.E. Hinton, Angelina was inspired to take a role as a lead producer for the upcoming launch on Broadway,” the insider added.
Show dates for the Broadway musical have yet to be revealed.
Jolie and Pitt, who are still battling over custody of their minor children, are also parents to Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and Vivienne’s twin brother Knox.
The two actors got married in 2014, but just two years later, they announced their split following an allegedly violent argument on a plane that left the actress and a number of their children covered in alcohol.
The custody battle appeared to be nearing an end in July 2021, when a judge gave Pitt 50-50 custody, but the court disqualified the private judge who failed to sufficiently disclose his business relationships with Pitt’s attorneys. The custody decision was nullified, and the matter still remains unsettled.
