Matthew Perry has been laid to rest in an esteemed section of a star-studded cemetery in Los Angeles.
The “Friends” star’s casket was placed within the walls of a corridor called Sanctuary of Treasured Love at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, TMZ reported Wednesday.
Perry’s reps did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
The private burial site is situated behind gates and also serves as the final resting place for Michael Clarke Duncan, who starred alongside Perry in the 2000 comedy film “The Whole Nine Yards.”
The former co-stars’ deaths have some eerie similarities.
They both died at the age of 54; Duncan passed away in 2012 of a heart attack, and while Perry’s cause of death is still not known, it has been reported that he had gone into cardiac arrest in his final moments.
The Sanctuary of Treasured Love is located in Forest Lawn’s Court of Remembrance, where other A-list stars including Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher, Sandra Dee, Andy Gibb and Bette Davis are also buried.
Per TMZ, there was large flower arrangement located on Perry’s gravesite following his funeral service last Friday, but it had been removed by Tuesday and now appears “relatively bare.”
Perry was honored by an intimate group of friends and family, including his “Friends” co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc, at his memorial.
Aniston, 54, was reportedly one of the first people to arrive at the solemn gathering and kept “to herself” once inside the service. Sources said the actress is really “struggling” with the loss of her friend.
Matthew’s mother, Suzanne Perry, father, John Bennett Perry, and stepdad, Keith Morrison, were also photographed attending the “Fools Rush In” star’s funeral.
A few days prior, Suzanne and “Dateline” correspondent Morrison, 76, were seen visiting Forest Lawn with some of Matthew’s surviving sisters and a cemetery employee, likely making preparations for their deceased loved one.
They were dressed in all black and seen walking around the green landscape at the vast plot of land.
Aside from Forest Lawn being star-studded, it is located opposite Warner Bros. Studios, where Matthew filmed for years as his beloved character Chandler Bing on the set of “Friends.”
The “17 Again” star was found dead on Oct. 28 at his LA home. His assistant reportedly found him unconscious in a jacuzzi following an apparent drowning.
Preliminary toxicology reports reportedly showed he did not have fentanyl or meth in his body at the time of his death. However, the full autopsy results have been delayed as additional testing is still needed.
