Priscilla Presley never found a love greater than her ex-husband, Elvis Presley.
The actress — who was married to the late singer from 1967 to 1973 — opened up about why she never remarried during a Q&A event at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas Friday.
“To be honest with you, I never wanted to marry after him. I never had any desire,” she explained, per People. “No one could ever match him.”
While Priscilla, 78, didn’t directly confirm the longstanding rumor that she pledged to never remarry while Elvis was alive, she said he would’ve been heartbroken to see her with someone else.
“I just don’t think that he could handle that,” she added.
Priscilla — who shares daughter Lisa Marie Presley with the music icon — also revealed why they didn’t have more kids together.
“Elvis felt he had a very busy schedule and he did have a bit of guilt that he wasn’t around that much when Lisa was younger,” she explained.
“With his scheduling and his touring, he just felt he wasn’t around enough to give a lot of attention to having another child.”
Elvis died from a heart attack at the age of 42 — four years after the duo called it quits in 1977.
According to a biopsy obtained by People, he had several prescription drugs in his body at the time of death.
Last week, Priscilla recalled learning about the King of Rock and Roll’s tragic death during a “TalkTV” interview with The Post columnist Piers Morgan.
She said she was told the devastating news during a phone call with one of Elvis’ managers.
“I can still hear Joe Esposito’s words, ‘Cilla, Elvis is dead,’ and that was like, I just couldn’t imagine him ever, especially at his age and all, still so young and wanting to do so much and had so much planned, and not having him, not talking to him, not having him be the father of our child,” Priscilla explained, per People.
“My big fear was Lisa, and how do I tell her,” she continued. “She was only 9 at the time.”
Priscilla is expected to be buried in the Meditation Garden of Graceland in Memphis, Tenn., alongside Elvis and their daughter.
Lisa Marie died on Jan. 12 after she suffered cardiac arrest due to complications from a small bowel obstruction. She was 54.
Reflecting on her only child’s death, Priscilla recently referred to the loss as “unbearable.”
