“Winter House” star Kory Keefer addressed his breakup with “Summer House” star Sam Feher for the first time after she confirmed the split on Tuesday.
“Sam and I connected on so many levels but I believe we just weren’t meant for each other, and that’s the hardest truth to admit,” Keefer told Pvnew in a statement only a few hours after Feher announced their breakup.
Keefer emphasized that he has “nothing but positive things to say” about Feher and their year-and-a-half relationship.
“She is such a special lady. Honestly, she’s just a beautiful, wonderful, loving woman,” he added.
Feher broke up with Keefer in December after seeing him flirt with his female co-stars on “Winter House.” It “hurt” her, and he told us he’s “so sorry for that.”
“Navigating any relationship is difficult and doing it on tv and in the public eye is next level,” he told us. “But I take full responsibility for how I acted on ‘Winter House.’ It kills me to look back and see how my actions hurt Sam. I’m so sorry for that. I made this winter very very difficult for her.”
Since the split, the CORE24 gym owner has “been doing a lot of self reflection” to try and “grow as a man.”
“We had some amazing memories that I will always cherish and I was just so blessed to have had the time with her,” he concluded.
When confirming their split, Feher, 26, admitted that she broke up with Keefer, 33, “because he doesn’t love me.”
“That was like really a big problem for me,” she said on Tuesday’s episode of Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “I was like, ‘I think I need to get out, it’s becoming clear.’”
Feher called Keefer in mid-December after she hadn’t heard from him in two days. It was “weird” for her, because they were in a long-distance relationship and they frequently communicated.
“We were talking and talking, and he was like, ‘What are you saying? Are you saying we should break up?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ Silence,” she recalled.
Feher –– who did not star on “Winter House” alongside Keefer –– made the decision after watching the most recent season of the spin-off show and finding out how “disrespected” she was at the time.
“In my opinion, he gave a completely false impression of how serious we were,” she said.
Feher added that despite their split, she still thinks he’s a “great” person, and they’re on “good terms” as friends.
Pvnew broke the news in April 2023 that Feher and Keefer were officially dating.
