Business in the morning, party in the evening.
Amal Clooney transitioned from a buttoned-up look to a sparkling Prada minidress as she took on a busy day in New York during the UN General Assembly Wednesday, and her day-to-night style couldn’t get any better.
The 45-year-old superstar human rights attorney started off in a demure gray dress with a button front and black belt as she spoke at the High-Level Dialogue on the Declaration Against Arbitrary Detention in State-to-State Relations.
Clooney — who, according to her firm Doughty Street Chambers, “has helped to secure the freedom of journalists arbitrarily detained for their work across the globe” — wore her hair in a side-parted, softly curled style for her speech, wearing soft mauve lipstick and coordinating eye makeup.
After her work day ended, the glamorous lawyer switched up her style into a much different look, sporting a party-ready mirrored dress as she was spotted heading to dinner with a friend at 4 Charles Prime Rib in NYC.
This time Clooney wore a shiny Prada mirrorball dress made from reflective black-and-silver panels that retails for a whopping $21,200.
And she layered the look over a pricey white Prada tank top dress ($1,250).
The Lebanese-British barrister — who also shimmered in another silver look this summer — covered up with an oversized black blazer with satin lapels, adding pointy clear heels with metallic detail at the toe and a box clutch.
Clooney joins other notable attendees at the UN General Assembly this week, including Prince William, who took on visits related to his Earthshot Prize (and went for an undetected jog in Central Park) while Kate Middleton rocked her own Amal-like business look in London.
The human rights expert’s NYC trip follows news that Amal and her husband, George Clooney, are reportedly selling their beloved Lake Como, Italy estate for $107 million.
Perhaps we’ll be seeing more NYC style moments from Amal soon enough.
