“Summer House” star Sam Feher confirmed that she broke up with Kory Keefer after less than two years of dating.
The reality star revealed that she ended their relationship a few days before Christmas after processing his shenanigans on “Winter House.”
“I’m not even out here to talk s–t. I think he’s great. I didn’t break up with him because I don’t love him. I broke up with him because he doesn’t love me, and that’s that,” Feher said on Tuesday’s episode of Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.
Feher later admitted that she would tell him she loved him, but he “didn’t say it back” to her, and he “never said it for the rest of the relationship.”
“That was like really a big problem for me,” she said. “I was like, ‘I think I need to get out, it’s becoming clear.’”
Feher explained that Keefer was “shocked” and “floored” when she called him before the holidays and dumped him.
The split came after the two –– who were doing a long-distance relationship –– hadn’t communicated for 48 hours after he didn’t respond to her text asking him to spend New Year’s Eve with her family.
“When your long-distance boyfriend doesn’t communicate with you for 48 hours, and there’s nothing wrong, there’s something wrong,” she recalled. “Like that’s so weird. Why do you wanna go 48 hours without talking to me at all like that’s so crazy.”
Feher, 26, called him shortly afterwards and claimed that Keefer, 33, accused her of “testing” him and “timing” their texts.
“That’s the kind of gaslighting I don’t need in my life,” she said, adding that specific moment was the “first time” when she knew she was “making the right decision.”
“We were talking and talking, and he was like, ‘What are you saying? Are you saying we should break up?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ Silence,” she recalled.
Feher said Keefer was “really mature about the split,” and he “apologized” to her, but the only thing that has continued to bother her is he told her, “I wish it was different.”
“All I could think about is, you don’t wish badly enough to treat me right,” she said. “Like you can wish all you want, but if you would do anything to change how it was, then you can do the bare minimum. He was like, ‘I can do anything except that.'”
Fans have been speculating that Feher and Keefer called it quits for the last few weeks after Feher posted about a “fresh start.” The duo also had a rocky few months when his appearance on “Winter House” caused waves in their relationship.
Keefer starred in the Bravo spinoff without Feher. He faced backlash for telling his female co-stars he and Feher weren’t officially in a relationship while flirting with a few of the women.
At one point, one of Keefer’s co-stars broke down in tears over the thought of him liking another woman in the house –– all while he was seeing Feher.
When the show filmed in March 2023, Keefer and Feher hadn’t put a label on their relationship and admitted they were in a bit of a “gray area.”
“In my opinion, he gave a completely false impression of how serious we were,” she said.
Feher claimed that before Keefer left for Colorado, he assured her that he was “not planning to hook up with anyone” and would “not embarrass” her.
Keefer didn’t have relations with any of his co-stars, but she wasn’t aware of several of the details –– including two of his co-stars explicitly saying they wanted to hook up with him –– until watching the show with everyone else.
“He didn’t prepare me for anything I was gonna watch,” she said, adding, “I didn’t know how disrespected I was at the time.”
Feher got even more upset with Keefer at the reunion, which was filmed in late November 2023. He claimed that since they “weren’t official,” he was “gonna push the boundary as far” as he could.
“I was like, ‘Why would you say that? Why would you think it? Why would you say it next to me? What are we doing? Why do you wanna push the boundary?’” she remembered thinking.
Feher also found Keefer’s confessionals on the show “really hurtful,” because he filmed them months after the show wrapped while they were in a committed relationship, and he’d be spending time with her at her apartment in New York City.
“He went into his confessionals, and he was like, ‘No guy wants to be in a relationship, every guy is gonna let it ride until she forces it, but like I don’t wanna lose her, so I guess I gotta be in a relationship with her, gotta s––t or get off the pot,’ and I was like, ‘You left my bed, said that about me, and then came back to my bed?’ Like I would never say that about someone I really cared about,” she said while her voice began to crack.
Feher added other factors that played into their relationship, like him not getting her anything for Valentine’s Day or him not getting her a Christmas gift last year after they’d been hanging out for four months.
The Instagram influencer emphasized that she still think he’s “great,” and they’re on “good terms,” but she’s “not in love with him” anymore.
Just a few weeks after “Winter House” finished filming in late March 2023, Feher confirmed to Pvnew that she and Keefer were officially an item after meeting on “Summer House” in summer 2022.
The former couple were in a “situationship” for eight months before they committed, but Feher still counts that time as part of their relationship, so they dated for about a year-and-a-half.
Keefer has yet to respond to any of Feher’s comments. Pvnew has reached out to him for comment.
