It’s a fashion face-off.
Emily Blunt recognizes that when it comes to competing with Lenny Kravitz, the “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” singer will always come out on top.
The “Oppenheimer” actress, 40, made an appearance on the “Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Thursday night in a familiar tuxedo-inspired jumpsuit.
After showing off the open back of the daring David Koma design, Blunt said she saw Kravitz sport a near-identical style on the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet days earlier —and decided to stick with her look anyway.
“Who wore it best?” the actress asked Colbert’s audience as the host held up a photo of the rocker from Sunday’s awards show.
“So I saw him swaggering across the floor at the Golden Globes. I had already pre-planned this for your show and I thought, ‘You know what, no, I’m still going to wear it,'” she explained.
“There’s something about Lenny Kravitz … it’s like when he walks in the room, a bus sort of runs over anyone else’s cool factor, you know? It just sort of becomes vapor.”
Colbert agreed, quipping, “You know how cool Lenny Kravitz is? He makes the name Lenny sound cool.”
While Kravitz, 59, may have won the sartorial showdown, he ended up losing out on Best Original Song — for which his song “Road to Freedom” was nominated — to Billie Eilish for her “Barbie” ballad, “What Was I Made For?”
Some thought the “Office” star, 44, said he “can’t wait to get a divorce,” while others believed the actor actually said he “can’t wait to get indoors.”
While neither has addressed the speculation, Blunt attended the Governors Awards by herself the following night.
A source told Us Weekly the TikTokers were mistaken, saying, “There are no issues with Emily and John. They are absolutely not talking about divorce.”
The source added, “They think the rumors are funny and ridiculous.”
