Treat Williams died from “severe trauma and blood loss” following a motorcycle crash in June, according to a news release shared by the Vermont State Police.

Authorities also confirmed Tuesday that the man who caused the crash — identified as Ryan M. Koss — has been charged with “grossly negligent” driving resulting in death.

According to the press release, police met with Koss on Tuesday evening “at the Shaftsbury Barracks, where he was processed on the charge and released.”

Koss was driving a Honda Element SUV on June 12 when he “turned into the path of Mr. Williams’ motorcycle” which resulted in the actor’s fatal injuries, per the report.

Koss is due to appear for arraignment on Sept. 25 in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Bennington.

The update comes nearly two months after Williams’ rep, Barry McPherson, confirmed that the “Everwood” actor had died at the age of 71.

“He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off,” McPherson told People at the time. “I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.

“He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s,” he added. “He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.”

That same day, police released a statement saying that Koss struck the actor while he “attempted to turn left into a parking lot.”

However, the “Hair” actor “was unable to avoid a collision and was thrown from his motorcycle.”

“He suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead,” the statement read.

Despite the brutal crash, witnesses later revealed that Williams — who was wearing a helmet — was “alert” and talking to paramedics before succumbing to his injuries.

“He was totally alert, answering questions,” an onlooker told the Daily Mail. “I saw Treat go flying through the air. The tire was still spinning.”

In the months since his passing, Williams’ daughter, Ellie Williams, has tried to keep his spirit alive, posting tributes to her dad for Father’s Day and on the one-month anniversary of his death.

“I have been home with my family in Vermont for a month now, but it feels like just yesterday that I frantically got on a plane home after I got that phone call,” Ellie captioned a series of Instagram photos with her dad last month.

“It feels like he’s just away filming. However, I keep forgetting that he’s not coming home this time.”

Ellie called their father-daughter bond “a once-in-a-lifetime love,” saying she had “boundless love and complete admiration for her father.”

“Dad, I love you more than words could ever describe. You have given me the best life imaginable, and I could not have ever dreamed of having a better father,” she added.
