Ariana Madix is ready for a fresh start in 2024.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star exclusively tells Pvnew that she has decided to keep an open mindset while looking ahead to the New Year.
“This year, it’s all just kind of a blank slate, baby,” Madix tells us Tuesday at 48 Lounge in New York City while promoting her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago.”
While the Bravolebrity would normally already have plans for the rest of the year by this time, she’s taking a different approach this year.
“I mean, I honestly feel like I haven’t even really had a second to stop,” she says. “I just think that this year really is one I don’t even know how to look ahead.”
Most recently, Madix took third place on Season 32 of “Dancing With the Stars” in December 2023.
Just one day after the finale aired, Madix embarked on a whirlwind press tour in New York City to promote her cocktail book, “Single AF Cocktails,” and announce her new venture on Broadway.
“I’m so excited, I’ve wanted to be on Broadway my entire life,” she tells us. “[I was a] theater kid, theater major, everything has always been leading up to this.”
Madix joins a number of celebrities and performers –– including Pamela Anderson, Brooke Shields and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne –– who have had the opportunity to star in the musical.
“It’s so iconic. I’m hoping that I can fill those shoes, and I just hope that when people look at the list of the names that I really stepped into it,” she says.
Madix hopes that when people see her singing and dancing her heart out, they’ll view her as “someone who works really hard” and “someone who deserves to be up there.”
“I hope I can do everyone proud,” she says.
The Bravolebrity is still in the beginning phases of her rehearsal process, but she thanks “DWTS” for being the “perfect training bootcamp.”
“That kind of grueling exercise for the body and for the mind is like the perfect lead-in to come into these rehearsals and to be learning this material,” she says.
Madix will make her Broadway debut at the Ambassador Theatre on Jan. 29 and will perform for eight weeks.
She teases that while she still has a long way to go, she already knows fellow “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars Lala Kent and Scheana Shay will be in attendance for opening night.
