Timothée Chalamet shut down rumors that his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, does not like Selena Gomez after an animated gossip session at the 2024 Golden Globes sparked speculation.
The “Wonka” star, 28, told a TMZ paparazzo while walking with a pal in Beverly Hills, Calif., Monday night that the “Kardashians” star, 26, has no beef with the “only Murders in the Building” actress, 31.
When asked whether he is still “cool” with Gomez, with whom he starred in the 2019 rom-com “A Rainy Day in New York,” Chalamet responded, “Yeah, of course.”
The “Don’t Look Up” star, who was dressed in a black hoodie and seemed to be trying to conceal his identity, appeared dismayed that his cover had been blown.
“What are the chances?” he asked aloud as the pap followed him for a few blocks.
The impromptu interview comes just as the internet was trying to decipher what Gomez told BFF Taylor Swift and pal Keleigh Sperry during a commercial break at Sunday’s Globes.
The award show’s cameras caught the chatter, and fans online thought the “Come & Get It” singer told her friends, “I asked for a picture with him, and [Kylie] said no.”
Swift, 34, could be seen with a shocked face over the revelation, and Sperry, 31, was heard asking, “With Timothée?”
Lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman confirmed to Pvnew exclusively Monday that he believes Gomez said, “He didn’t want a picture with me. He said no.”
However, a source close to the former Disney star denied she was talking about Chalamet and Jenner.
The insider also insisted that Gomez “never saw” or spoke to the PDA-packing couple, who first sparked dating rumors in April 2023, and “never went up to them and asked for a photo.”
It’s unclear which side of the story fans will believe, but Jenner and Gomez do have a complex past.
The Kylie Cosmetics CEO is longtime BFFs with Hailey Bieber, who is married to the “Lose You to Love Me” singer’s ex Justin Bieber.
In early 2023, Jenner and Hailey, 27, were involved in online drama because fans believed they had posted an Instagram Story making fun of Gomez.
It started because the “Selena + Chef” host posted a TikTok video of her eyebrows and said, “I accidentally laminated my brows too much.”
A few hours later, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum shared a selfie and wrote near her own eyebrows, “this was an accident ?????” She then also posted close-up shots of her and Hailey’s eyebrows, which sparked backlash.
Jenner claimed via a TikTok comment at the time, though, “this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”
Gomez added, “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
