Come on Barbie, let’s go (after)party.
Margot Robbie kept the Superstar Barbie vibes going as she swapped out her hot pink sequined dress for a party-ready black number at the Golden Globes 2024 afterparty in Los Angeles Sunday.
Just like the 50th-anniversary edition of the 1977 doll — which came with both bright pink and black versions of a glam evening gown — the 33-year-old “Barbie” star rocked a black iteration of the Armani Privé dress she wore for the awards show to attend the starry bash.
She arrived at Chateau Marmont in the sequined black gown, which featured the same deep V front and swiss-dotted tulle stole as the look she wore on the red carpet Sunday.
The “Suicide Squad” star — who has recreated numerous iconic Barbie looks throughout the film’s press tour — paired her party look with black ankle-strap heels and a black clutch, wearing her hair down in the same loose style as she did for the awards show.
She accessorized the Superstar ensemble with $3 million in jewels, including a pair of Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs weighing in at a whopping 30 carats and a natural vivid pink diamond ring.
The outfit brought back memories of the Day-to-Night Barbie look she wore for the Seoul premiere of “Barbie,” during which she swapped out a hot pink skirt suit for a fabulous fuchsia dress just like the 1980s doll.
Although Robbie didn’t win Best Actress for her lead role in the hit Greta Gerwig flick, it was still a big night for the “Barbie” cast.
The movie, of which Robbie served as a producer, took home the first-ever Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award, with the Australian star dedicating the honor to “every single person on the planet who dressed up and went to the greatest place on Earth: the movie theater.”
Billie Eilish — who wore a very anti-Barbie look — also won Best Song for “What Was I Made For” from the buzzy film’s soundtrack.
With awards season still young, we have a feeling there’s plenty more “Barbie” fun in store.
