Dua Lipa looked ready to “dance the night away” on Sunday night, wearing an outfit her “Barbie” character would no doubt love.
The 28-year-old had fans “levitating” as she arrived on the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet in a strapless, body-hugging black Schiaparelli dress that flared out at the bottom in a mermaid silhouette that perhaps harkened back to her role in the 2023 film.
The look featured gold skeleton-like embellishments throughout, including button details down the back.
And while the gown was certainly bejeweled, it was Lipa’s glitzy accessories that made a real statement; the star wore a vintage Tiffany & Co. necklace featuring diamonds throughout and two small jewels at the end.
As for hair and makeup, the singer kept it somewhat minimalistic, appearing bronzed and fresh-faced while her fiery red hair was styled in waves.
Of course, it’s no surprise that the star arrived at the Golden Globes looking glam — or that she opted to give “Barbie” a subtle nod.
On top of being a presenter, she’s nominated for Best Song for a Motion Picture for her mega-hit “Dance the Night,” which appeared in film.
Still, Lipa has plenty of competition in the “Best Song” category and is even up against a handful of her colleagues from the movie. Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken” and Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” also received nominations.
Lipa is rarely one to hold back when it comes to fashion, no matter the occasion. She recently rang in the new year decked out in a black, cutout Tom Ford dress and back in August, celebrated her 28th birthday in a Gucci bra, which she paired with layers of chunky necklaces.
The style icon has also collaborated with Versace, working with Donatella herself to create a women’s collection called “La Vacanza.”
There’s no denying that Lipa brought her style A-game to the Globes, which makes us wonder: will she “Be the One” to win best dressed of the night? It’s definitely a possibility.
