Megan Fox clapped back at fans after they accused her of “lacking generosity” for not contributing to her friend’s GoFundMe.
The “Transformers” star addressed the matter on her Instagram Story Thursday after asking her followers to donate to a cancer fund for her nail tech Brittney Boyce’s father.
“hey weirdos,” she wrote. “do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe brit doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?”
Fox, 39, explained that Boyce simply asked her to share the GoFundMe page, which now has a goal of $60,000.
“i just obliged her request anything she needs from me personally she will ask and i will do it privately,” the actress continued.
“one thing you’re not going to accuse me of it being miserly or lacking generosity. so try again on another day (probably tmrw!) with some different bullshit you bunch of psychos.”
The “Jennifer’s Body” star’s response comes after she was slammed on Tuesday for not coughing up the funds herself — despite having a net worth of around $8 million.
“If I had as much money as her, I’d cover 100% of a friend’s parent’s medical expenses before I asked strangers to,” one fan wrote on a Reddit forum.
“The highest donation is only $300 and it’s not anonymous. Sis better contribute herself and lead the way,” another added.
“She could have contributed privately—like through Zelle or something similar. I can’t imagine a person being so dense and not contributing especially if they have the amount of money she does, but who knows,” a third chimed in.
The “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” actress and her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, have been longstanding clients of the Nail of LA founder, whose father was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
“My dad is the [sic] literally the best person, dad, husband & grandpa this doesn’t seem fair,” Boyce wrote on the GoFundMe page.
“I know things are tough for everyone right now but if you’re able to donate or share it would really help. He picked up his first prescription yesterday and it wasn’t covered by insurance the cost of that alone was $1000 and it’s not even a full month supply.”
While speaking about the “Bloody Valentine” rocker in 2021, Boyce told Pvnew, “He’s one of my favorite clients.”
At the time, she explained that MGK keeps her on her toes with his creative requests.
“I get a lot of people that just ask me, ‘What’s in?’ and then I tell them and then we do it. But for him, I really have to think ahead, because he is so artistic and he has so many great ideas,” she said.
