Kevin Spacey celebrated after being cleared of sexual assault charges at a top London club, Pvnew can reveal.
The Oscar-winning actor sipped whiskey with friends at the Groucho Club, a private members spot in Soho on Wednesday night.
He was also celebrating his 64th birthday just hours after being found not guilty of assaulting four men.
Spacey — whose backpack sported a “be kind” button — was in far better spirits after breaking down into tears outside Southwark Crown Court earlier in the day.
“He looked very proud,” one onlooker tells us. “He was sitting by the entrance for everyone to see.”
Another guest adds that Spacey, 64, was with about 7 friends.
“He spent the evening nursing a whiskey,” the spy tells us. “They didn’t sing ‘Happy Birthday,’ but everyone seemed in good spirits.”
Outside the court after the trial ended, the “House of Cards” actor thanked his friends for sticking by him, in particular his long-time pal and manager Evan Lowenstein, who joined him at the Groucho.
Spacey, wearing a casual sweater and pants, left the Club just around midnight in the rain, shielding himself with an umbrella.
The actor faced charges of assaults on four men over 20 years.
Tears rolled down the “House of Cards” star’s cheeks as the final “not guilty” verdict was read. He later said he was “humbled.”
“My world exploded,” Spacey testified. “There was a rush to judgment and before the first question was asked or answered, I lost my job, I lost my reputation, I lost everything in a matter of days.”
Three men accused Spacey of aggressively grabbing their crotches, describing him as “vile” and a “slippery, snaky” predator. A fourth, an aspiring actor, said he awoke to the actor performing oral sex on him after falling asleep or passing out in Spacey’s London apartment where he had gone for career advice and a beer.
Spacey admitted that he was a “big flirt” who had consensual flings with men and whose only misstep was touching a man’s groin while making a “clumsy pass.” There were nine charges in total.
Defense lawyer Patrick Gibbs said three of the men were liars and that their encounters had been “reimagined with a sinister spin.”
He accused them of hopping on a #MeToo “bandwagon” in the hope of striking it rich.
As Pvnew reported, however, Spacey may not be welcome back in Hollywood.
