Sofía Vergara gleamed as she stepped out without her wedding ring a week after her estranged husband, Joe Manganiello, filed for divorce.
While out and about in West Hollywood, Calif., Monday, the actress wore a long-sleeve, gray shirt and dark blue Nike joggers. She complimented the look with gold earrings, white sneakers and a matching crossbody bag.
To further show off her good mood, Vergara gave paps a thumbs up and a smile while walking past them.
The “Hot Pursuit” star recently returned to Los Angeles after she and some of her closest friends celebrated her 51st birthday with an Italian getaway.
During the trip, fans noticed she was no longer wearing her ring and that Manganiello was not with her, hinting at trouble in paradise.
However, it was Manganiello’s birthday post for the actress that had everyone worried.
“¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!” the “Magic Mike XXL” star, 46, captioned a blurry throwback picture of himself and the actress, which many called “cold.”
Shortly after, Pvnew exclusively revealed that the two were splitting after seven years of marriage.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple told Pvnew exclusively on July 17.
“As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
A source also told us that the two had been “growing apart for a while” and had decided to take “some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
Manganiello went on to file for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation. He also hired celebrity divorce shark Laura Wasser.
The date of the split is listed as July 2. However, multiple sources have told Pvnew that the two have been leading separate lives for a “very, very long time.”
While Vergara and Manganiello have not disclosed the specific reasons behind their split, multiple sources have shared that it had something to do with his desire to have children.
Vergara welcomed son Manolo with her ex-husband, Joe Gonzalez, in 1991.
She was also involved in a court battle over custody of two frozen embryos from her 2013 IVF treatments with then-fiancé Nick Loeb, who wanted to bring them to term.
A source close to Manganiello told us he always wanted to be a dad and that those feelings have only intensified in recent years.
Although it’s unclear where Vergara stood on the topic when the two got married in November 2015, we were told she may have been open to it at the time.
A friend of the actress also gave Pvnew some insight into what was going on in their marriage.
The insider shared that Vergara was “stifled” in her relationship with the “True Blood” star, claiming that Manganiello was a “largely unsupportive partner.”
“Sofía was always there to take care of Joe, while his career was never what it was when they met. I think he’s been threatened by her success and joie de vivre.”
Not long after news broke of their split, reports surfaced claiming that Manganiello’s sobriety also played a role in their separation, namely because Vergara is not sober.
However, sources close to the two have told Pvnew that it is not the case.
“Joe is fully secure and at one with his sobriety, and while sobriety is a continuous practice, his ongoing commitment to being sober was never in any way threatened by being married to someone who drinks responsibly. It’s a pathetic attempt to come up with an excuse.”
