Joe Jonas may be thinking about his estranged wife, Sophie Turner, as he heads into 2024.
The Jonas Brothers member added a very telling song choice atop a serene video of waves crashing into a rocky coastline to his Instagram Story on Wednesday.
The track in question — “I Think of You” by Rodriguez released in 1971 — details dealing with a broken heart.
Although the “Cake By the Ocean” star, 34, only used the instrumental portion in the short clip, the lyrics explore the pain of missing a former partner.
“Just a song we shared, I’ll hear/ Brings memories back when you were here/ Of your smile, your easy laughter/ Of you kiss, those moments after,” it begins.
“I think of you/ And think of you/ And think of you/ Of the dreams we dreamt together/ Of the love we vowed would never/ Melt like snowflakes in the sun.”
While Jonas seemingly spent the start of the new year reflecting on his former love, Turner was more focused on her female friendships.
Over the weekend, the “Game of Thrones” actress, 27, commemorated the end of 2023 by sharing a carousel of images of herself hanging out with her closest girl friends — including new bestie Taylor Swift.
“2023 was the year of the girlies,” Turner captioned the post. “2024s forecast is looking fairly consistent.”
The “Waffle House” crooner and the “Joan” actress confirmed in September that they were divorcing after four years of marriage.
Although they called their split a “united decision,” things quickly turned sour as they battled for custody over daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1.
Just weeks after calling off their marriage, Turner sued Jonas for the “immediate return” of their daughters to England, where she claimed the pair had already established their “forever home” and planned to raise the two toddlers.
Jonas quickly fired back at the lawsuit and, soon after, the pair agreed to switch off custody until the new year.
While it’s unclear when the exes will have to rehash their custody tradeoff, it seems to have worked well for the pair, who were both in London around the holidays.
Although Jonas dropped the toddlers off across the pond on Dec. 17, he also posted an Instagram Story in his ex’s home country on Dec. 24.
The little ones were expected to spend both Christmas and New Year’s with their mom. It’s unknown if Jonas joined them since he was still in town.
Turner has been spending most of her time in London since she and Jonas settled their initial custody issues — and has even moved on with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.
The new couple sparked romance rumors in November and were spotted locking lips while out and about last month.
However, Turner notably posted a breakup song about “falling apart” to her Instagram towards the end of December, potentially signaling that things had fizzled out between the two.
