Life is imitating art for Raven-Symoné.
During Sunday’s episode of “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda,” the Disney Channel actress, 37, admitted she’s not so different from her character in “That’s So Raven” because she also has certain psychic abilities.
“I do have moments where I really will just stare and I will see a scene that is happening to me or that is going to happen to me in another dimension and I’m like, ‘Yo, this is weird,'” the “Raven’s Home” star said.
“There will be a time when I’m walking and I’ll trip over nothing,” she added.
While Raven-Symoné said she can’t see directly into the future, she explained she has had moments of déjà vu since the age of 7 through the help of her “spirit guides.”
“The way we connect is through our trauma,” she said. “Meditation just allowed my spirit guides to help me and even to this day that can happen.”
The “Cheetah Girls” star got on the topic of supernatural abilities during a game of “Spin the Wheel” with her wife and co-host, Miranda Pearman-Maday, and special guest Keke Palmer.
When the wheel landed on the word “psychic,” Raven-Symoné offered her perspective on the ability.
“I believe in psychics,” she said. “I believe actually humans have the ability in their brain to tap into energy fields that allow for truth to connect when you know how to translate it correctly.”
But she clarified that she doesn’t believe fortune tellers are in the same category as psychics.
“If you sit me down and somebody’s like, ‘Look into my crystal ball,’ I’m gonna be like, ‘Give me my money back.’ But I do believe there is natural auras that hold the experiences of all of our people,” the “Cosby Show” alum explained.
The star played the beloved role of Raven Baxter in Disney Channel’s “That’s So Raven” from 2003 to 2007.
In the series, she took on the role of a teenage psychic who frequently had “visions” of the future which often led to chaos in her life.
The hit show was rebooted in 2017 with the release of “Raven’s Home,” which is now streaming on Disney+.
