Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos may be putting their sex life on pause once the longtime spouses become official co-hosts.
“Mark and I have taken a vow of chastity while we’ll be working together because I know how ABC does not like TV partners banging on the side,” Ripa joked on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” Thursday, referencing the ousting of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach following their scandalous affair.
Cohen said he thought ABC should have kept the amorous duo on the air, noting that it made for “compelling” TV.
Ripa, 52, agreed and Marlon Wayans, who was also a guest on the Bravo show, added, “I’ve got to say, the brother looked really happy, though.”
Robach and Holmes were stripped of their co-hosting duties on “GMA3” after photos of the couple showing PDA during romantic trips were published in November 2022.
ABC launched an internal investigation and then announced in January that the journalists and the network had signed their exit agreements.
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” the company said in a statement at the time.
Soon after, it was announced that Ripa and Consuelos, who have been married since 1996, would be co-hosting “Live! with Kelly and Ryan” after Ryan Seacrest departs the daytime talk show — which also airs on ABC.
Pvnew exclusively reported in February that ABC had been wooing Consuelos since last summer to take over the coveted hosting spot.
Ripa and her soon-to-be colleague have been very open about their sex life with the public.
Last year, the former soap star, 52, shared on “WWHL” that she doesn’t “get tired” of sex with Consuelos, also 52.
“[Because] the woman comes first,” Ripa gushed, adding that she and Consuelos have sex “like bunnies” and he “pleases me over and over.”’
The couple, who share sons Michael, 25, and Joaquin, 20, and daughter Lola, 21, also revealed in 2019 that their daughter once walked in on them getting it on.
Ripa said the then-teen told her, “You just ruined my birthday and my life and I used to see in color and now everything is gray,” adding that she thought her parents were “disgusting” and “had no chill.”
Ripa and Consuelos will begin working together as “Live!” co-hosts on April 17. Seacrest’s last day on air is set to be on April 14.
