Kim misses the old Kanye.
On Thursday’s episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian revealed she kept “every single” Yeezy design her ex-husband ever made, tearfully explaining that she’s “holding on to the Kanye that I know.”
Taking viewers back inside her wildly impressive 30,000-piece fashion archive on the same day her divorce was finalized, the self-proclaimed “memory hoarder” explained she’s saved “a mix of his designs and his actual clothes” for their four children: daughters North, 10, and Chicago, 5, and sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 3.
“He tells me to burn his stuff,” Kardashian said of West.
“He’s like, ‘Who cares, burn it.’ I thought maybe the kids would think it was so cool, so I kind of kept everything for the kids.”
She pointed out a hoodie printed with “Chicago,” mentioning her younger daughter “would love that some day,” before finding one with a “P” for Psalm.
“Can you imagine North’s Sweet 16 and the merch tables of the stuff she wants to give away?” Kardashian added.
Calling her archive “my time capsule of the best times,” she continued, “The reality is, life is really different, and when you know it can never get back there, that’s what sucks, and that’s what’s hard. But my kids will have the best memories, and this will be the best tribute for them.”
The clips quickly went viral on TikTok, with one fan commenting that Kardashian “may have trauma from her dad passing and maybe not having enough to remember him by and doesn’t want her children to feel that way.”
Wrote another, “That’s very thoughtful honestly … the kids are gonna be so glad she did this for them.”
North, who’s already a fashionista in her own right, will surely put her dad’s old pieces to good use one day.
