New photos and video of Rosanna Arquette’s Malibu car crash show the extent of the damages to a local Mexican restaurant.
The “Desperately Seeking Susan” actress crashed into a Malibu shopping center on Tuesday after losing control of her vehicle, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Although the 63-year-old managed to walk away unscathed, the same can’t be said for Lily’s Malibu, a restaurant in the Point Dume Village.
Video from the scene shows Arquette’s BMW smashed into a pillar of the local restaurant, which had to be evacuated after the accident.
It appears the “Nowhere to Run” star also took out two additional support beams which held up the building’s roof.
She also seemingly ran through a glass barrier which separated the shops from the parking lot, leaving debris and glass shards scattered throughout the courtyard.
The right side of her car was destroyed in the crash, which officials say occurred after she accidentally drove forward “instead of backing out” of her parking spot.
Although the accident took place right next to the restaurant’s outside seating area, no one was injured.
Los Angeles Fire Station 71 Captain Mike Rivera told “The Malibu Times” that Arquette was taken to the hospital out of precaution but that she didn’t appear to sustain any injuries.
“She was a little shook up about what happened,” he told the outlet.
Shops nearby had to be closed as officials waited to make sure the entire building didn’t “collapse” due to the crash, according to the newspaper.
Officials also confirmed to the New York Post that there was no indication of impairment due to drugs or alcohol.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time the “Pulp Fiction” star has been involved in a car crash in recent years.
In May 2022, Arquette totaled her Tesla after ramming into the back of a UPS truck while at the Palisades Village shopping center in Los Angeles.
Thankfully, no one suffered any serious injuries in that crash either.
