When it comes to shoes, this style is a true-blue royal fave.
Prince William and Kate Middleton made a surprise appearance with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at the Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in England today — and while they all seem to have received the blue memo, two of their kids took the matching theme a step further.
Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5, wore the same navy canvas slip-on sneakers ($51-65) by Trotters that the royal children have been sporting for years as they joined George — who turns 10 next week — and their parents at the world’s largest military air show.
The little princess added a girly touch to her trainers, donning a white cardigan and the same striped navy-and-white Rachel Riley dress ($51) with a Peter Pan collar that she wore to last year’s Commonwealth Games, while her younger brother looked adorable in a navy sweater and matching shorts with a white shirt underneath.
While Prince George went with a light blue Ralph Lauren polo shirt ($50) and green trousers, his dad wore a blue checked blazer and dress shirt.
The future kings also coordinated their footwear, with both the Prince of Wales, 41, and his eldest child donning brown suede shoes for their family day out.
And the twinning moments didn’t stop there; William and Catherine even coordinated their trousers, with the royal couple both wearing navy pants and navy belts for today’s adventure.
The Princess of Wales, however, was the only one who veered from blue with the rest of her outfit, wearing a new beige striped blazer by Blazé Milano and a white T-shirt, although she did wear navy suede flats ($440) from one of her favorite brands, Emmy London.
As for the kids’ matching sneakers, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen one of the Wales children in Trotters’ comfy canvas style.
Princess Charlotte wore the trainers in her official 4th birthday portrait, while Prince George sported the shoes at a 2018 polo match.
Their uncle Prince Harry also seems to love a matching shoe moment, with the Duke of Sussex dressing his daughter, Princess Lilibet, in similar red Mary Janes as the ones he wore as a child — the same style Princess Charlotte wore for Trooping the Colour years later.
If the (royal) shoe fits, wear it.
