Jamie Foxx is still not “100 percent” after suffering from a mystery “medical complication” earlier this year.
“Jamie is doing so much better and he’s starting to feel like himself again. He’s not 100 percent and is still taking things easy, but he’s definitely on the road to recovery,” a source told Us Weekly.
The insider noted that the Oscar winner, 55, is helped by a “huge support system around him and his friends and family are making sure that he doesn’t take on too much.”
Foxx is “feeling really good and is excited to get back to work once the time is right,” the source added.
In April, the star’s oldest daughter, Corinne, 29, released a statement on behalf of the family, revealing that her father had suffered a “medical complication” while filming in Georgia, but was “already on his way to recovery” thanks to “quick action and great care.”
Weeks later, Foxx broke his silence, posting a message to his fans on Instagram that read, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”
However, the “Django Unchained” star then reportedly checked into a Chicago rehab facility that specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation.
Rumors began to swirl that Foxx’s health had taken a turn for the worse, which were angrily denied by the “47 Meters Down” actress.
“update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corinne wrote on her Instagram Story May 12. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating.”
Despite the speculation about his health, the “In Living Color” alum has been spotted out and about in the last couple of weeks.
