This Barbie is ready to party.
Margot Robbie rocked a daring red minidress as she stepped out for a photocall at the London Eye and an afterparty following the “Barbie” UK premiere yesterday — and her outfit is a genius tie-in to the doll she recreated earlier in the evening.
The 33-year-old actress, who plays the titular role in this summer’s hottest movie, kept the Barbie references going well into the night as she donned an ultra-short Dilara Findikoglu mini and red Maison Ernst mules ($556) that resembled the outfit worn by 1962’s Brunette Bubble Cut Barbie.
Robbie’s corseted red satin dress — which was a custom style by the Turkish-British designer — showed off plenty of leg, and she matched her lipstick and ribbon-handled drawstring purse to the fiery hue.
The “Babylon” star’s dress was the perfect follow-up to the glamorous gown she wore for the premiere last night, which was a recreation of 1960’s Enchanted Evening Barbie.
The pale pink satin Vivienne Westwood dress — that included a removable off-the-shoulder ruffled collar — featured a similar strapless top as her afterparty look, with the column design cascading into a flowing train accented with a rosette at the hip.
In another Barbie reference, the outfit was actually included with the 50th-anniversary version of Brunette Bubble Cut Barbie, as Robbie’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal, posted on his Instagram Story yesterday.
Fans praised the celeb stylist for his incredible work recreating one iconic Barbie look after the next on his Instagram post highlighting Robbie’s red-hot outfit yesterday.
“To be clear this has been the best styled press tour in history,” one Instagram user commented. “They should give an award for all these looks. You choose well and your muse Margot carried every look off with such panache. Making all the Barbie fans ecstatic!”
Another fan added, in part, “There would be no recession or wars if @andrewmukamal and @officialgretagerwig were in charge (Margot and Ryan for Veep).”
Vice President Barbie does have a nice ring to it.
