Naomi Osaka is a mom!
The professional tennis player gave birth to her and her boyfriend Cordae’s first child, Pvnew can /confirm/i.
The baby girl arrived recently in Los Angeles.
Osaka, 25, used a sonogram shot to announce in January that she was pregnant with her first child.
In her “little life update” via Instagram, she noted that she could not “wait to get back” on the court.
“I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure,” Osaka explained.
“I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha.”
She concluded, “2023 will be a year that’ll be full of lessons for me and I hope I’ll see you guys in the start of the next one cause I’ll be at Aus 2024.”
Cordae, who began publicly dating Osaka in 2019, subsequently confirmed that he is the little one’s father.
The following month, the “really excited” four-time Grand Slam singles champion admitted to Vogue that she was not “really sure” how to prepare for motherhood.
“I know there are things I can buy and classes I can take, but … I think I’m gonna have to go with the flow,” she explained. “Everyone I know that has had a kid, it has changed their life.”
Osaka continued to keep her pregnancy journey mostly private, as she has done with her and Cordae’s relationship.
“We kind of move very reclusively,” the rapper, also 25, told GQ in February 2021. “We don’t really post intimate moments.”
Cordae, whose full name is Cordae Amari Dunston, called their romance “sacred” at the time, saying, “once you let outside influences get into it, it becomes less sacred.”
