If you’ve got it, flaunt it.
Keke Palmer won’t let haters — and even her own boyfriend, Darius Jackson — stop her from celebrating her curves and feeling good in her skin.
The “Nope” actress — who welcomed son Leodis with Jackson in February — opened up to The Cut about her postpartum body and style, days after her partner publicly shamed her for wearing a booty-baring dress to an Usher concert.
“After having my baby, I’ve just gotten so much more powerful. I’m just so strengthened in a crazy way. Strutting my stuff, enjoying. I’ll be honest, I think before I even had the baby, I was really actually quite self-conscious,” Palmer, 29, told the fashion site.
“After having the baby, my body got so much bigger and I started getting fluff in areas I never had before.”
But Palmer doesn’t care about looking like she did before becoming a mom.
“That’s not something to hide, that’s something to embrace. We’re going to lean into this new body,” she declared.
“That is the whole aura of what’s happening with me in this big boss era as I come into my 30s and I have my baby boy. I’m just continuing to spread my wings as a young woman.”
The comments seemed to be an indirect response to Jackson, whose tweet blasting her sexy concert outfit went viral last week; when fans rushed to Palmer’s defense, he even doubled down on his criticism.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” Jackson tweeted at the time, before briefly deleting his social media accounts.
“This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe,” he continued. “I rest my case.”
While it’s unclear if the couple are still together or not — when Jackson returned to social media hours later, all photos of Palmer had been deleted — the actress appeared to send him a cryptic message on TikTok: “You ain’t stopping what’s going on with me, sweetheart.”
