Tori Spelling’s son Liam needed to undergo a foot operation after injuring himself in an accident.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum took to her Instagram Story Thursday to explain that the 16-year-old “fell down the stairs at home” six weeks ago.
Spelling said Liam experienced “no healing” on his own and that they chose to go the surgical route after receiving “many opinions.”
“Liam’s navicular accessory fractured bone in right foot needed to be removed and then tendon reattached to his main bone with a metal hook rod,” she told her followers.
The actress, 50, said her eldest child has “a long journey” ahead of him but that they’re both grateful the “recovery process” has begun.
She went on to thank “everyone for checking in with Liam and sending him messages and calls and ❤️ and humor before and after his surgery.”
Spelling also praised both the teen for doing “great” and his “amazing” surgeon for a successful procedure.
