Sonja Morgan “popped” a liposuction stitch while having sex with a trucker named Billy Richard in Illinois.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum, 59, reveals her scandalous romp occurred while filming her new Bravo reality show, “Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake.”
“Popped or pegged, what’d I do? I popped a stitch from my liposuction,” she explains on Pvnew’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
Morgan notes that her castmate, fellow “RHONY” OG Luann de Lesseps, was not impressed by her intimate antics in Benton, Ill.
“Luann got over that real quick. She was like, ‘Sonja, you can’t be wearing a compression garment on the show. It’s 110 degrees,’” she says.
“The lipo has to drain and I didn’t know all this for reals,” the Bravolebrity continues. “But we get through anything, Luann and I. We have no problem.”
De Lesseps, of her part, says that Morgan was lucky as Richard likely didn’t know there were any plastic surgery concerns during their bedroom play.
“It didn’t even register in this guy’s head,” the “Class with the Countess” author tells us.
When Morgan wasn’t canoodling with Benton locals, she and de Lesseps worked to bring the rural Illinois town back to life after it took a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“COVID has effected Benton in a lot of ways,” one resident says in a “Crappie Lake” preview, while another notes, “We have two celebrities coming into town and they are so excited to help the town.”
During a meeting with the mayor, the city girls are told they will be responsible for building a new park, celebrating Christmas in July, increasing tourism, upgrading the animal shelter and executing an end-of-summer performance.
“We’re never afraid to get our hands dirty,” Morgan says.
In addition to eating testicles at a “testicle festival,” they dive in a lake for catfish, clean rancid motel rooms, ride monster trucks and play in the mud as they navigate a rugged life miles away from their chic Manhattan digs.
After visiting Benton last summer, de Lesseps and Morgan recently journeyed to St. Barts — where they filmed “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy” with Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon and Kristen Taekman. The Peacock spinoff has yet to receive a premiere date.
“Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake” debuts with back-to-back half-hour episodes Sunday, July 9, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
The series will move to its regular time slot beginning Sunday, July 16, at 10 p.m. ET following the Season 14 premiere of the retooled “Real Housewives of New York City.”
