Mark Consuelos thinks his wife, Kelly Ripa, is way out of his league.
“Listen, I married way above my station,” Consuelos told “Entertainment Tonight” Monday.
“I’m the luckiest guy, I found her and I’m like ‘I’m hanging on for dear life.'”
He then added with a smile, “Hopefully she feels the same way!”
The duo, who are both 52, initially met while starring in the soap opera “All My Children” in 1995.
A year later, they tied the knot before going on to welcome three kids together: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 20.
Despite keeping their professional and personal lives separate, Consuelos took over Ryan Seacrest as his wife’s co-host on “Live” in February.
During the interview, the “Riverdale” star also addressed Ripa’s recent comments about retiring, saying, “I think it’s a real thing. She’s been at that for 23 years.”
However, Consuelos noted that Ripa won’t be stepping away “anytime soon.”
“I know she’s having a good time, I’m having a really, really good time. But at some point, yeah,” Consuelos shared. “When she does decide to walk away, no one’s earned it more than her.”
He added that Ripa has been “working her butt off” and it’s been a “long ride” but that she is “having a blast now.”
Fortunately, the feeling is mutual for Consuelos, who shared how much he loves working beside Ripa.
“I love the show because I know it’s always going to be fun,” he said. “I know that she’s not going to let me fail.”
He continued, “She has chemistry with everybody, and I feel supported — and I think she feels the same way with me next to her.”
“Live with Kelly and Mark” was initially hit with a barrage of criticism when Consuelos first joined as fans slammed them for showing a cringe-inducing amount of PDA on air.
However, that should not come as a surprise as the couple is extremely open about their sex lives at all times.
During a “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” appearance in June, Consuelos admitted that they like to “talk dirty” in bed — but “only in Spanish.
Despite their lengthy marriage and loved-up demeanor, Consuelos and Ripa admitted that they would never do a vow renewal.
“We are very superstitious about vow renewals,” Ripa said during a June episode of “Live,” suggesting that the ceremony is the “kiss of death” and should come with “divorce papers.”
“I just feel like a vow renewal is a pre-divorce,” she added. “It’s like, ‘We’re not getting along … I know what we should do!’”
He agreed, saying that he believes vow renewals only take place after a husband somehow “messed up” the marriage.
“And I’m not talking about ‘leaving the toilet seat up,’” Consuelos said. “I’m talking about messed up!”
