Lindsay Hubbard never approved Carl Radke’s note about their breakup before he sent it out to friends and family, a source exclusively revealed to Pvnew Monday.
Just hours after People shared a copy of the shady note, a source close to Hubbard told us that the “Summer House” star, 37, was blindsided by her former fiancé’s rash decision.
“Lindsay did not approve of Carl’s letter before it was made public, so there is no ‘we,’” the insider said. “She’s definitely hurt by it, for sure.”
In the note, Radke announced that their Nov. 17 nuptials were officially called off and apologized to their anticipated guests for any inconvenience.
“Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I,” he wrote. “We are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves.”
Although he didn’t explain why the pair decided to part ways, he claimed that there have been “a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful.”
“The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I’m crushed with how all this transpired,” Radke continued. “I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time.”
The reality TV star, 38, then apologized for creating such a “mess,” noting that many people had already put a lot of “money and time” into preparing for the destination wedding in Mexico.
“I don’t take [this] lightly. We are super grateful for the love and support you have shown us and will do what I can to help with any costs associated with changing plans.”
“Thanks for your unconditional love and support during this tough time. Will be in touch with further updates. With love, Carl.”
Reps for “Summer House” stars did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
While Hubbard has yet to address their split, she noticeably scrubbed nearly all of her photos with Radke from her Instagram feed over the weekend.
The decision came less than two weeks after Pvnew confirmed that Radke had called off their engagement.
“Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard have called off their engagement,” sources told Entertainment Tonight on Aug. 31. “The two were set to get married in November, but Carl told Lindsay he couldn’t move forward with the wedding.”
“The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out on the next season of ‘Summer House,’” they added.
Other insiders told Us Weekly that Hubbard was “blindsided” and left completely “devastated” by Radke’s decision.
“It’s all so raw. The dust hasn’t settled with it yet,” a source said, adding that the salesman was “mean” enough to “call off the wedding on camera.”
“A normal person who loves someone wouldn’t break up with someone they love on camera,” they added. “No matter how many problems you may have, you don’t do something like that on camera for the world to see their reaction.”
While Radke was spotted jet-setting out of New York City just hours after the news made headlines, Hubbard kept a low profile for over a week before popping up in Portugal for a friend’s wedding.
The publicist flew to Europe to celebrate former co-star Jaclyn Shuman’s wedding weekend, where she was photographed putting on a brave face for the bride-to-be.
Hubbard and Radke met while filming Season 1 of the hit Bravo show in 2016. Despite maintaining a platonic relationship for years, the pair decided to move things out of the friend zone in 2019.
Although they split a year later, the twosome decided to give their love a second try at the start of 2022.
Radke popped the question less than a year later while the pair were vacationing in the Hamptons.
