Farrah Brittany brushed off rumors about mom Kyle Richards’ marriage to Mauricio Umansky months before their separation made headlines.
“My reaction, I mean, these are stories,” the “Buying Beverly Hills” star, 34, exclusively told Pvnew in April at Richards’ event for the National Alliance on Mental Illness at the Fleur Room in West Hollywood.
“This is what always happens. People are going to find something and try to make it into a story,” continued Brittany, whose father is Richards’ first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie.
“And I feel like at this point, we’ve already been through so much. I mean, who cares?”
At the same event – which was filmed for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 13 — Richards told us that her marriage was questioned by several of her co-stars after a “stupid picture” fueled speculation of trouble in paradise.
“It started all from a stupid picture of me without a ring on,” the series OG told us.
Richards, 54, explained that her reason for not wearing the massive rock from Umansky, 53, was two-fold.
“A, I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, ‘I’m not comfortable,’” she said. “And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, ‘That thing sparked that?’ I don’t know.”
Richards was notably photographed leaving the gym sans ring in February.
For the outing, she wore blue leggings and a black tank — but no diamond.
The “Halloween Kills” actress claimed that both she and Umansky were “unbothered” by the hearsay — despite having previously “struggled” when her castmates brought up their marriage on-camera in the past.
“When this stuff would come up before, I would like, cry and I was devastated,” Richards admitted. “But now, I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.’”
Farrah, for her part, told us she thought it was “ridiculous” that her mother’s bare hand instigated such gossip.
The real estate pro — who works at stepdad Umansky’s The Agency brokerage — said that she made a point of comforting Richards throughout the drama, reminding her famous mom that it “doesn’t matter what other people think.”
Brittany added, “As long as you’re good and your peace is preserved and you’re happy and you know you know the truth, that’s all that matters.”
People was the first to report Richards and Umansky’s separation on Monday with a source telling the outlet that they “have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof.”
The insider noted that the pair — who tied the knot in January 1996 and share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15 — “remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
Although Brittany had nothing but words of support for Richards several months ago, eagle-eyed fans noticed she didn’t tag the “RHOBH” OG in a recent Instagram post — but made sure to tag Umansky in a carousel of photos from cousin Whitney Davis’ June 24 wedding
“Can’t wait to hear the story about why your mom isn’t tagged,” one person wrote in the comments section, while another asked, “Why didn’t you tag your mom????”
Brittany didn’t immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
