Drew Barrymore can’t keep her hands to herself.
The “Never Been Kissed” star was blasted as “cringey” after uncomfortably caressing Oprah Winfrey in a preview of Tuesday’s episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
In the clip, the duo was seen cozied up on the couch while talking about the importance of interacting with the studio audience.
Barrymore tightly held onto Winfrey’s hand while running her other hand up and down the legendary media mogul’s arm.
“Something that I learned about you, because I didn’t know this detail, was that you would spend time with the audience outside of the show you were filming,” the “Charlie’s Angel” actress said.
The “Oprah Winfrey Show” alum, 69, seemingly attempted to get out of Barrymore’s grasp as she adjusted her seating position while responding.
“It is necessary — my crew used to be like, ‘Oh my God, how much time you should go spend talking to that audience?'” Winfrey replied while slightly distancing herself.
Barrymore, 48, then let go of her guest amid her enthusiasm over Winfrey’s answer.
The “Color Purple” star then started talking with her hands while applauding Barrymore for running the daytime talk show without an audience during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“That’s why this is so hard to do without an audience, and I was complimenting you on the fact that you got through it without an audience because it’s almost — because you’re not getting their energy,” she said.
While Winfrey didn’t appear to be too bothered by the talk show host’s hands-on approach during the interview, several Instagram viewers were turned off by Barrymore’s behavior.
“She’s really creeping me out now. It’s just to [sic] weird,” one person commented.
“Drew is too overbearing and cringey & it doesn’t seem genuine the way she fawns all over her guests!!” another wrote.
“The hand hold and the arm being caressed is past my boundary,” someone else agreed.
“Oprahs body language was so clear she wanted her hand back,” a fourth chimed in.
To which another added, “Why is Drew always trying to force the moment? Yo Drew, chill out.”
Reps for Barrymore and Winfrey did not immediately respond to Pvnew’s request for comment.
The “E.T.” star, who is known for getting close and personal with her guests, was also notably touchy with Brooke Shields in April during an emotional discussion about their “needy” moms.
